Abstract
يتناول المقال حركة السفر والرحلات من منظور علمي وقيمي ضمن الجغرافية السياحية، ويربطها بتداول المعرفة والثقافة والحضارة عبر المسارات البرية والبحرية والجوية. ويعرض تطور السفر من انتقال مكاني إلى نشاط علمي واقتصادي وثقافي أسهم في الاحتكاك الحضاري ونشأة مؤسسات السياحة والنقل والدراسات المتخصصة. كما يناقش دوافع السفر وفوائده وآثاره في الأفراد والمجتمعات والتنمية المستدامة، ويبرز ما منحه الإسلام للتنقل من قيم مرتبطة بالدعوة والتعلم والعبادة والصحة والتجارة وبناء الأمم (*).
