Annals of the Faculty of Arts and Humanities is a peer-reviewed scientific and academic journal published by the Faculty of Arts and Humanities at the University of Nouakchott. It is devoted to publishing original and innovative research and studies in the various fields of the arts, humanities, and social sciences. It seeks to contribute to the production and advancement of knowledge, promote rigorous scientific research, and strengthen academic dialogue and scholarly exchange among researchers, while remaining open to contemporary scientific and methodological issues and giving particular attention to studies concerning Mauritanian society and its Arab and African context.

The journal welcomes theoretical and applied research, field studies and comparative studies, critical editions of texts, documents, and manuscripts, translations of scientific and intellectual works, local and regional studies, as well as critical reviews, literature reviews, and reviews of books and theses. It is committed to upholding standards of quality, originality, and objectivity, the principles of independent scholarly peer review, the ethics of academic publishing, methodological rigor, and the accuracy of references, thereby consolidating its status as a reliable scholarly platform for the dissemination of knowledge and the exchange of experience and research findings.
